The Building Inspectors of Georgia was created to assist Home Buyers in making the right decision about the biggest investment in their life. Drawing on education and experience I served the Real estate industry in this capacity for 11 years.
When the time came for me to “retire” from active inspecting I did not want to leave the Agents and Buyers who had counted on me for so long to have to seek out others to put their trust in. I set out to find someone to carry on the B-I-G ideal, assisting home buyers make informed decisions, without sacrificing expectations and reputation.
After interviewing several candidates, Michael Sylvester was chosen as the best qualified individual. Mr. Sylvester’s formal education comes from the high stress detailed oriented U.S. Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. Having spent 15 years in Customer Service as an Electronic and Electrical technician and mechanic, both industrial and residential, he now joins the Real Estate industry. As my apprentice he took quickly to the inspection techniques and reporting system on which I had worked so hard to develop. His "common sense" ability and eye for detail makes him stand out as the right inspector for any home buyer. His diplomatic nature was also a determining factor.
His electrical, mechanical background and aptitude is an asset when it comes to inspecting a real estate property. His years in customer service are an asset in communicating his findings to the Buyer and real estate professionals involved. His technical ability and vision has enhanced the inspection service with color photos being added to the report, the added convenience of credit card payment and the addition of this web site.
Satisfied now that The Building Inspectors of Georgia’s name, traditions and reputation will be upheld as well as enhanced, I have turned over control to Mr. Sylvester.
